Protein/Lean Muscle Diet?
Hi, I've been active over the last 2years and been excercising at the gym for a little over 18months now and have reduced my weight by around 3 stone – however, I have now plateaued and want more lean muscle for sport, running, rugby etc.
My bodyfat is still quite high – about 7months ago at the last check I think it was around 30% mark, this has decreased but not by major amounts!
The FHM Fitness diet looked to be quite good – it suggested things such as breakfast – muesli, boiled eggs, berries, mid morning: Hummus on rye bread, protein shake etc but it doesn't mention anything on the size of servings.
I'm currently taking protein and creatine, excercise for around 90mins at least 4times a week. I just need to sort my diet out as I'm still eating the exact same stuff as 2/3years ago (except breakfast is replaced with a protein shake)
Can anyone point me in the direction of a diet plan or describe something I could work to.
There's only a few factors that I need to be consider – I work in an office so am unable to cook up any mid morning or afternoon snacks, cold things or pre-cooked are fine.
Money is a little bit of an issue – I couldn't afford a fillet steak every evening or other ridiculously extravagant things!
and I'm after something with a bit of variation, as much as I could stick to the same things every day it will get old quick and is more likely to put me off eating differently in the long term!
